Description

Recorded in the heyday of the pandemic, these mixes inadvertently pose the question “can you still dance?” vocalised by Shaun Christian on the Fast Eddie track “Can U Still Dance” included here. One mix per side, off the shelves – all sounds taken from physical sources but rather than a purist move, that signifies a will to ride the flow of time, place and documentation. Rough but meaningful cuts, unlikely juxtapositions, a feel for the limits of the dance floor. So House as a middle ground, stretching backwards and forwards within an ongoing learning process. Jah as the figurative devotional presence and Dub as the spiritual and sonic anchor. Everything else is in between or far out.

Limited run of 50 copies, home recorded onto recycled cassette tapes unused from a previous release.
